One of the leading manufacturers of electronic components in the automotive sector sought to optimize its production line for electronic printed circuit boards. In a three-shift operation, the boards had to be manually sorted into various finishing or packaging stages after production, which was time-consuming and prone to errors. The customer required an efficient semi-automatic sorting and transport system<\/a> that could fit within a 20-meter space.<\/p>\r\n\r\n Our solution was a buffer system comprising six two-track lines on the lower level and a roller conveyor on the upper level. This semi-automatic transport and sorting system increased the autonomy of the production and packaging departments by enabling them to handle two processes simultaneously: unloading and sorting parts from the production machine via the conveyor<\/a> on the lower level, and returning empty boxes via an inclined gravity roller conveyor<\/a> on the upper level.<\/p>\r\n\r\n The implementation of the KLT buffer system, featuring a combination of two-track lines and roller conveyors, provided the automotive component manufacturer with an optimized storage and logistics solution.
