The challenge
RTM Ratiotechnik Milde GmbH, a German manufacturer of precision components for multiple industries, needed a way to align up to 15 different product types with widely varying length-to-width ratios on a conveyor belt. The complication: these items are initially rotated 90 degrees before entering the belt conveyor and must be brought into the correct orientation within a very short conveying distance. Using pneumatic rotary units or other actuators was not an option. Furthermore, switching between product types had to be possible instantly – without any mechanical modifications or adjustments.
The solution
Working closely with RTM, Montech designed an inclined conveyor equipped with a robust frame and an easily adjustable side guide. Following a detailed feasibility study, the system was tailored precisely to RTM’s production requirements. The project included a comprehensive 3D model and an electrical interface specification, enabling seamless integration into the existing production setup. The conveyor was supplied as a complete, pre-assembled unit – fully tested and ready for immediate use.
