Privacy Policy
A. Privacy Notice
We take the confidential handling of personal data and the protection of your privacy very seriously.
We process your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, particularly the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and relevant national laws that apply to us.
This privacy policy explains in detail how and on what basis Montech AG (hereinafter referred to as “Montech”) collects and processes personal data through its website and other websites and applications operated by Montech (hereinafter referred to as “website/tools”) and for what purposes.
Personal data (hereinafter referred to as “data”) means information that can be used to identify a natural person. This includes, in particular, your name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, and also your IP address.
Section I of this privacy policy contains general data protection information. Section II outlines the data collection and processing provisions related to the provision of our services. Section III lists other use cases for data collection and processing.
B. Use of the Website and Cookies
-
General Information
You can visit the Montech website and learn about our products and services without providing personal data. We only request personal data where it is necessary to deliver our own services (see Section II, Paragraph A).
To ensure our website functions properly, we sometimes place “cookies” on your device. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device by your browser (locally on your hard drive). These cookies allow us to analyze how users use our websites so we can adapt the content to user needs.
Cookies also enable the website to remember your actions and preferences (e.g., login, language, font size, and other display settings) over a period of time so you don’t have to re-enter them every time you visit or navigate the website.
When you access our website, our system automatically collects technical data via cookies about the accessing computer. This includes browser type and version, operating system, internet provider, IP address, and the date and time of access.
We also collect various types of “clickstream” data via cookies—information about your browsing behavior such as referring and exit pages, search terms, and visited URLs.
One cookie we use is Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics also uses cookies stored on your computer to analyze website usage. The data generated by the cookie (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the US.
Google uses this data to evaluate website usage, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide further services related to website and internet use. Google may also transfer this data to third parties if legally required or if third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with other Google data.
In addition to usage statistics, Google Analytics may be used with some of the advertising cookies mentioned above to show you more relevant ads in Google products (such as Google Search) and across the web.
As a user, you have full control over cookie usage. You can disable or restrict cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Already stored cookies can be deleted at any time via your browser. This is possible in all common browsers.
Please note that disabling or restricting cookies may result in some parts of our website not functioning fully.
-
Data Transfer to Third Countries
For non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics and marketing cookies), we obtain your explicit consent via a cookie banner before setting them. You can revoke or adjust your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
If personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (particularly the USA) through tools like Google Analytics, this is done based on:
An adequacy decision by the EU Commission (e.g., Data Privacy Framework),
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) under Art. 46 GDPR, or
Additional technical and organizational safeguards.
More information about third-party data processing can be found in the relevant sections of this privacy policy and in the respective third-party provider’s privacy statements.

C. Social Plugins of Social Networks
We use so-called social plugins, such as the “Like” button from various providers/networks (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.). These plugins are provided and operated directly by these providers and are clearly marked with their logos. When you access a page of ours containing such a plugin, your browser establishes a connection to the servers of these providers. The plugin content is then transmitted directly to your browser by the provider and displayed within our environment, without our influence over the plugin’s content.
These providers may track your visit to our corresponding pages and potentially link it to your user account if you are registered with the provider or have recently visited their page. If you actively use plugins (e.g., click the “Like” button), relevant information is transmitted from your browser directly to the respective provider, without our involvement. For detailed information on the type, purpose, and scope of data processing and use by these providers, please refer to their privacy policies. There you can also find more about your rights and privacy settings.
D. Storage of Customer Data
We retain your personal data for as long as it is required to provide our services or if we are legally obliged to do so.
Montech retains customer personal data collected for business transactions/services for at least 10 years after the last processing action, due to legal and accounting reasons. Other data is kept as long as necessary to fulfill contracts and protect our rights. Longer retention periods may apply due to legal or operational reasons.
Personal data collected for marketing purposes is generally deleted only when explicitly requested by the customer.
E. Data Security
We protect your personal data through appropriate technical and organizational security measures and store it on secure servers. Our website is protected against loss, destruction, manipulation, and unauthorized access, alteration, or distribution using industry-standard measures. Sensitive data (e.g., login credentials) is transmitted using encryption (SSL).
However, Montech does not guarantee absolute data security. You are responsible for backing up your data regularly and independently of our website. It is also your responsibility to create a secure password for your customer account, keep it safe, and update it regularly.
F. Customer Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and transfer your data. You also have the right to restrict processing.
These rights are subject to Section D (Data Retention) and other legal requirements.
You may object to the processing of your personal data. This objection applies only for the future and does not affect past processing. If, as a result of your objection, Montech can no longer fulfill the contractual services agreed with you, this will be considered a breach of contract on your part and Montech has the right to terminate the contract immediately. Any costs incurred up to that point (including materials and order processing) must be covered by the customer.
To exercise your rights, please contact the address listed in Section G. This also applies to any questions about data processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Newsletter
We keep you informed about relevant products, offers, and services from Montech.
You can unsubscribe from this service at any time via the provided unsubscribe link, thereby withdrawing your consent. Unsubscribing will not affect your use of the montech.com profile.
We process your data in connection with the newsletter in order to send you updates related to Montech. In addition, we may use the email address you entered to send you personalized offers related to the newsletter.
If a link in the newsletter redirects you to our website, you also authorize us to process and use your IP address, location data, web beacons, or similar technologies to evaluate whether the content offered in that communication meets your interests.
Montech cooperates with external service providers for the sending of newsletters.
Customer Service
As part of our analytics activities and to provide better customer support, we may send you periodic emails after an offer has been submitted to check the status or inform you of the progress of your order.
Montech uses external service providers for the sending of such emails.
If you no longer wish to receive these types of emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the email.
Live Chat
Montech offers personal online support via live chat on montech.com. This feature is technically provided by Olark, but is exclusively operated by employees of Montech AG – it is not a chatbot or automated system.
During a chat session, Montech employees can view your navigation data on the Montech website (collected via Olark cookies), helping them provide targeted support. They also have access to Montech’s internal ERP system (e.g., orders, invoices, etc.) and can look up relevant information on your behalf.
If you voluntarily provide personal data in the chat (e.g., name, email address, or other details), this information along with the chat transcript is stored and used to process your request. Chat transcripts are stored and automatically transferred to our CRM system (Credema) to keep communication traceable and manage inquiries efficiently.
The processing of this data is based on either pre-contractual measures according to Art. 6 para. 1(b) GDPR or our legitimate interest in providing effective customer support under Art. 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.
If you do not want your data to be saved, you may avoid the chat function and instead contact us by email or phone.
Customer Satisfaction Surveys
After completing a business transaction, Montech may ask you to participate in a customer satisfaction survey.
If you later decide you do not want to receive such requests, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the respective email.
Shipping and Delivery of Goods
To deliver the goods you ordered, we usually engage third-party shipping companies. For the purpose of placing a shipping order, we pass on personal contact data (first and last name, address, email, and phone number) to these companies so they know where to deliver the goods and who to contact upon delivery.
Job Applications
Thank you for your interest in a career at Montech. We recognize the importance of your personal data and process it solely for the purpose of managing your application efficiently and correctly and for communication during the application process. We do not share your data with third parties without your consent.
If you apply online, we store and process the following personal data:
– First name, last name, any titles, date of birth, nationality
– Family status, marital status, religion (if applicable)
– Qualifications and education data (e.g., CV, diplomas)
– Contact details (address, phone number, email)
– Work permit/residency permit (if applicable)
– Language and IT skills (if applicable)
– Other optional information, such as earliest start date, salary expectations, etc.
Contact Form and Marketing Communication
When you contact us via the contact form, we process the personal data you provide (e.g. name, email address, message content) for two purposes:
- To process and respond to your inquiry.
- To send you marketing information about our products and services (e.g. via email).
The legal basis for this processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you provide by checking the consent box in the contact form.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the withdrawal. You can withdraw consent by contacting us via the details listed in Section G or by using the unsubscribe link included in our marketing emails.
We store inquiries for a maximum of 6 months after completion, unless legal obligations require a longer retention period or a contractual relationship arises. Data that we use for marketing purposes will be stored until you withdraw your consent.
