The challenge
A customer was looking for a reliable solution for separating 80 × 60 mm package inserts. The inserts weigh just four grams apiece and are stacked, with a maximum of 100 pieces per stack. As a result, almost no forces are applied to the conveyor system. The drum solution used previously reached its limits: Depending on the weight applied, the drum rotated empty, and the inserts were not output consistently. The customer, therefore, needed a solution that ensures permanent contact even at very low weights and allows uniform separation.
The solution
Montech developed a compact conveyor solution based on the
TB30 small belt conveyor. The package leaflets are stacked and positioned on the belt conveyor, then output individually in a controlled manner through a defined slot. The continuous contact between the belt conveyor and product ensures constant separation – regardless of the low weight of the package inserts. Thanks to its compact design, the customer simply integrates this solution into the existing system. Montech tailored the conveyor solution to the application's requirements, enabling a stable, reproducible conveying process with minimal space requirements.
