Roller conveyors for production, storage, and logistics

Montech’s RB4020 and RB5025 roller conveyors are used for internal transport of workpieces, containers, and goods. They are suitable for applications in production, storage, and logistics, and can be adapted to the material conveyed.

Conveyor width, axis distance, and line length can be selected with millimeter precision. Depending on the application, two carrying roller diameters and different designs are available, with or without an end stop. Side guides and substructures made of the MPS aluminum framing system can also be used.

RB4020/5025
single-track

RB5025-einspurig-686x144-1

The gravity roller conveyors from Montech set new standards. Instead of predefined track widths, center distances or conveyer lengths, Montech offers freely selectable dimensions – accurate to a fraction of an inch and custom fit to the application.

RB4020/5025
double-track

RB5025-doppelspurig-686x144-2

The double-track roller conveyor transports the product on two parallel tracks and therefore with twice the number of idlers – for maximum stability at high loads.

RB5025
tandem

RB5025-tandem-686x144-3

Conveying width up to 2025 mm for large, bulky products. You determine the width of the support on both sides yourself – there is space in the middle for access from below.

RB4020/5025
multi-track

Mehrspurig_686_144

A personally customized roller conveyor system with several tracks. Different conveyer widths, roller spacings and track lengths – (almost) anything is possible.

FAQs

What are roller conveyors?

Roller conveyors are modular conveying systems with freely rotating rollers used to transport goods within production, logistics, or storage areas. At Montech, roller conveyors consist of robust aluminum profiles and precisely mounted rollers that ensure smooth, low-maintenance material flow.

How do roller conveyors work?

Roller conveyors move goods over a series of rollers arranged one after another, either by gravity or with a powered drive. Montech uses rollers mounted in precision bearings to guarantee quiet, consistent conveying performance.

What types of roller conveyors are available?

There are various types of roller conveyors that differ in structure and number of lanes, including single-lane, double-lane, and multi-lane versions, as well as specialized configurations for large or bulky goods.
Montech offers, among others:

  • Single-lane roller conveyors
  • Double-lane versions of the RB4020/5025 series
  • Multi-lane conveyor systems with freely combinable conveyor tracks
  • Tandem roller conveyors with extra-wide lanes for large-volume products

Multi-lane systems can be individually configured with different conveyor widths, roller spacing, and conveyor lengths.

Where are roller conveyors used?

Roller conveyors are used in many industries including logistics, manufacturing, automotive, food and packaging, and recycling. They are ideal for transporting goods with a stable underside.
At Montech, roller conveyors are primarily used for internal material flow in production, assembly, and warehouse areas, ensuring efficient and consistent transport.

What types of goods can be transported on roller conveyors?

Suitable goods include items with a stable, flat underside: cartons, boxes, containers, workpieces, or components. Montech systems can convey small, large, or bulky goods depending on the conveyor type.

What is the maximum load capacity of a roller conveyor?

The load capacity depends on factors such as roller diameter, wall thickness, material, and axle spacing.
Montech’s RB5025 rollers can carry up to 20 kg per roller, enabling reliable transport of larger or heavier items. The exact load rating is always adapted to the selected conveyor type and conveyor length.

How much space do I need for a roller conveyor?

Space requirements depend on conveyor length, the width of the conveyed goods, the support structure, and necessary safety clearance. Thanks to their modular design, Montech roller conveyors can be customized to fit existing production or warehouse layouts.

What are the advantages of roller conveyors?

They provide efficient, low-maintenance, and consistent material flow while reducing manual handling. Montech relies on precision components, modular construction, and fast delivery times — including for customer-specific configurations.

Can roller conveyors be integrated into existing systems?

Yes. Roller conveyors are modular and can be flexibly combined with other equipment. Montech systems can be integrated with belt conveyors, aluminum framing systems, transfer systems, or custom structures.

What warranty do roller conveyors have?

Montech roller conveyors come with a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery.

How quickly are roller conveyors delivered?

Delivery time depends on the configuration and conveyor length. Standardized roller conveyors and many customer-specific variants can be produced very quickly thanks to Montech’s modular system. Typical delivery time is 7 working days. The exact schedule is confirmed in the quotation or during project planning.

Is there a configurator for roller conveyors?

Yes. Montech provides an online configurator for many modules and assemblies, allowing users to define lengths, widths, roller spacing, and accessories. Roller conveyors can also be planned according to customer specifications and integrated into existing systems. Configuration is carried out in close coordination with the Montech team to ensure optimal system design.

Are roller conveyors shipped worldwide?

Yes. Roller conveyors can be shipped worldwide. Montech ships internationally, and the modular design allows for transport-optimized packaging and efficient shipping. Exact delivery times and conditions are provided during the quotation or project planning phase.
